The scrapbook, which is arranged chronologically, documents Mrs. Potter's life over a two year span, including her numerous activities in the Episcopal Church; the activities of her children, who attended Western Illinois University's Laboratory School; news events in Macomb and WIU, including the retirement of Ray "Rock" Hanson; local events and activities Mrs. Potter participated in or attended; a trip to the 1964 Protestant Episcopal Church Convention in St. Louis; and other travels conducted either through her church work or through her husband's academic activities. Included in the collection are newspaper clippings, postcards, photographs, calendars, cards, conference programs, and other ephemera. The scrapbook has been dismantled for preservation purposes; original items are integrated with photocopies of the album in its original state. Originals of newspaper clippings have been discarded.
